I still support the invasion of Iraq for the sake of showing military dominance and letting other goverments know Free countries do have a stick and will bloody well use it

However with Syria Libya now dominating the news should the good guys get involved again or just let them get on with it, remembering the existing goverments do supress the trouble makers and Allah protect us if they let the Muslim Brotherhood into power

Ive always said and beleived in a non liberalist point of view that military power needs to be used to its full extent to be succesful so if the good guys do intervene is now the time to use chemical weapons

I wont remove anyone or ban anyone on this thread and encourage plain and simple answers

wave

Way too much interference for my liking. Take Libya for example with the rebels being funded by outside Governments mainly Western. I don't trust any government to get involved without their greed being applied to 'what's best for them' and no what's best for the locals. Who gives the US rights to send drones in to other countries to take out anyone.
Iraq was disgusting imo and should never have been allowed happen and I blame the US and to a lesser extent GB for this. Who gives them the right to install their version of Democracy in any country. Patriot Act doh don't get me started.
Let Iran have the bomb. Why the hell not. Whatgives countries who have the Nuclear bomb the right to tell anyone else that they can't have it. It's about power and as far as I'm concerned we will never be able to force the 'Western Way' on people as all we are doing is creating more division's.
I don't see anyone jumping in to Saudi to overthrow a brutal regime as they are the ally uh oh

I would be in favour of equal rights for women and secular schooling but I would trust no government to interfere in a positive way to help these people as it's not about help, its about greed.

They should just let them get on with it..I don't believe any country has the right to interfere in another countries affairs no matter what reason even genocide imo is no good reason for another country to invade..ireland

One thing about war "its more exciting than peace" but that's not a great reason to start a war. I worry that in the long run that Israel will pull America into a war that escalates like an unstoppable psunami. The middle east has all the ingredients for the perfect storm.

I think anything that can start wars for a bit of excitement is wonderful apart from the advances in technology you get some pretty good war films a few years later....would we have had plattoon if there was no vietnam war or 3 kings staring george clooney without iraq let alone John wayne in numerous action films ........dunno
