anniebaby: Nope not everyone loves them, it would drive me mental. I can hear a clock ticking even with tv on and other noises

I would be in mental after one night

Am I old beyond my age? uh oh

There's a big difference between a "ticking" clock and the gentle, soothing sound of a "tick/tock" clock

Should I shut up now? laugh

sharmini: Absolutely! In other countries, people are selling the power they generate at home to the main grid. We are way behind in alternative energy sources and yet so well placed to develop same! And think of all the jobs that could go along with the clean, renewable energy.....
I am surprised they dont use more wave power systems as they were very productive, just building my second vertical axis turbine which is all metal this time and should last years ,In some countries its possible to buy a solar pane section d.i.y and place a section on a window charge up a small battery and have light all night long with the led mechanic lights which are for sale in Aldi at the moment and use hardly any power at all,the light bulbs are power guzlers.

Well suppose the profits are too good at the mo in supplying conventional power! We are paying way too much.....and there are viable alternatives available, as youve pointed out. I know that there are many around the country, tinkering away at these projects...and for the sake of a bit of investment, we could be on a winner....cheaper energy and jobs!

Yep you only have to know how much the head of these companies wages are to see why were being charged so much, there on crazy amounts of money, theres a lot of messing around with alternative energy solar wind etc but it should be mad easy to buy kits etc by the government especialy solar panels which are impossible to obtain in this country.
