TTom50: Think about it Oobey. When Obama did the bin Laden raid and called GWB to tell him of the raid. GWB did not even give a press release to the event.

But here is a prediction. If President Obama loses this election. He will break this tradition......
WHAT!!! doh

Are you for real?
Not even I would think W would be THAT stupid as to go public with the news and co-op Obama by releasing the news before it was officially released by the white house. That would be like broadcasting the name of a murdered child before the parents were notified.

Besides, what would he say?
"Obama succeeded in killing OBL where I failed"

ooby_dooby: Actually he took the LOW road as in keeping a low profile because as the worst president America ever had he would be a reminder of just how corrupt and destructive his administration was. It would come as no surprise to me if it was revealed that the GOP had a secret meeting and decided to tell W in no uncertain terms to STFU for the next 20 years at least.
Oh and BTW, a debate between Bush and Obama would be a "field day" alright, but Obama would make GWB look like the cardboard cutout he is.

That's just totally untrue. Bush could and would have plenty to say from a position of first-hand knowledge about the mis-behavior of Barack Obama. Take the Libya cover-up, for example. Bush could, if he wanted to, frankly inform the American people of how and why the Libya massacre was totally unnecessary and unwarranted because of mechanisims in place to prevent such atrocities.

But he does not.

He could talk about the fact that 90 percent of his stimulus money has been repaid while only 10% of Obama's is repaid. He could talk about the Solyndra loan and why his administration declined the loan because it was foolhardy. He could talk about Fast and Furious, and why they threw out a similar program.

There is MUCH he could talk about...but he's "larger" than that.

gininitaly: You're just full of all kinds of sour grapes today aren't you Big Al?

Nope. Quite happy but merely showing the OP what true secrecy and underhandedness is all about and it certainly is not about a former President holding private meetings but rather a sitting one doing same.

tomcatwarne: Since when did health care become a bad phrase, we have it in England and every man woman and child is covered--- and if we can afford it!!!!!

NO more worries about that major op cost, children's health cared for, what's the problem?

Not the care itself I was referring to but rather the underhanded way he jammed it through without hearing from all sides and holding meetings in private so one side is kept out of the loop.

So so happy you like your health care. Ours is similar and many who have no means like it too however, many who do have means don't. Which is why Obama should have unified the two concerns into one package using both parties rather than omit half the country in the debate in his 'secret' meetings.

ooby_dooby: Why is George W Bush having a meeting in the Cayman islands? Why is it Top Secret? The Cayman islands are a popular tax haven of the mega rich. Among other locations, Switzerland, The Bahamas, etc. These are just a few of the locations where the wealthy hide their money and shield it from American tax laws. In other words, they earn millions of dollars from tax payers but don't pay any taxes on it. It's kind of a one way street, money goes out, money doesn't come back.

Doesn't this sound familiar? Remember during the Bush presidential campagne rallys only Republicans were allowed to attend? He was running for president of the United States, the WHOLE United States, not just registered Republican citizens of the United States.

Don't forget to vote Nov. 7
