jac379:

Feminism is about equal rights.

In our current climate, we do not have conscription thankfully. .

Sorry Jac but 2 points i differ with you on this are

1: Feminism is about equal rights.

I would of said Equality is about equal rights. Feminism is the mirror of Chauvanism.

2: Conscription:

In this current climate i would prefer there to be Conscripts as they wernt just used a soldiers they were also used as Firemen/civil defences etc etc as shown in Spain till the goodie goodies stopped it.

Phoenix: Wars of tomorrow are going to be fought very different from wars of yesterday. Obamas drone strikes today prove it.

Everyone knows the suffragette's were a militant bunch involved in everything from civil disobedience to planting bombs. Same as everyone knows there are women out there who cry wolf (no one will argue against you high lighting it). I think most/all the nubiles here are offended by the nature of a lot of your posts because you appear to attack women (womens groups) on a daily basis.

What I'd like to know (change the names to protect the innocent)...have you been badly burnt before by a wee girl? I will hold my hands up and say I have and badly. I'm not going to tar all women by the same brush.

Obamas drones killing innocent children and civilians will never win a war. They will only make his business backers rich. Soldiers are still dying and being maimed on the ground and will be as long as there is war, I predict. Even in Libya where NATO bombed al Qaida into power lots of people still died.

Yes, the Suffragettes were militant upper-class terrorists. BUt despite this they are still taught on Womens Gender Studies courses in our State funded third level institutions. So are the women in the BBC documentary over on the This is Feminism thread. Clearly whack jobs but held up as icons of Feminist activists. You should really check out the man-hatred (misandry) being taught to young women. It's why they are so deluded to think Feminism is about 'equality' and why they think every ill in society is the fault of men.

Don't worry about the 'nubiles' there Phoenix. If they are Feminists I am happy to offend them. It's an ideology of hate. But don't be so cynical as to think all the women here have fallen for that female chauvanist crap. Some of them have a brain you know.

That comment is not debate technique, its a power game.

Power games don't work very well in terms of personal development and achieving aims.

fifitheminx: people confuse being fair and political correctness..and many of these 2 things cross over..i agree with things going too far..todays society is of extremes..theres acceptance and theres a hullabaloo about nothing.

political correctness n. the careful avoidance of forms of expression or action that are perceived to exclude or insult groups of people who are socially disadvantaged or discriminated against. (Oxford Dictionary)

fair adj. 1 treating people equally > just or appropriate in the circumstances.

Can you expand on your perception of the confusion, fifi? I'm confused. laugh

people assuming ur being politically correct when ur simply fair by nature.... fairness comes natural to some people..assumption they are being careful in avoidance of forms of expression or actions on purpose..for the betterment of a cause or their appearance, rather than just naturally being fair..

does that make sense?

No that comment is pointing out that you said something really stupid, like 'power comes from within'. WTF is that? You'll be talking about the waters of the womb next and embracing out inner child. Oh yeah and power games and aims laugh

Have to say jac that the auld dictionary your using seems to be either limited/out dated or a non genuine copy...

My Dictionary( mens common sense and non conformist 2012 edition with the gold leafs and limited matching spectacle cleaners)

Quotes POLITICAL CORRECTNESS : Shoving a biased agenda down decent peoples throats to empower Feminists/Gays/Athiests.

If it was a cliché, it came at the end of an argument which explained it.

Let me try again.

Your OP and your posts are hostile and/or misogynistic. If you're hostile, people will be hostile back to you. When you receive hostility, you're hostile back to them. You're just going round in circles and harping on about the past like it can be changed. You're are not creating progress in yourself, or others.

You come across as messed up in the head with all that bitterness and anger. If you wish to be an empowered man with impact upon others, you need to sort out the conflicts you have within your own thinking and behaviour first.

In August 1914 Admiral Charles Fitzgerald, founder of the Order of the White |feather ,deputised 30 women in Folkstone to hand out white feathers to men not wearing military uniform. The gesture was designed to publicly humiliate conscientious objectors (COs), those men who took a moral stand by refusing to fight in the First World War, and was emulated across the country.
