Being about 3 or so and sitting on the beach somewhere with family and a bucket and spade...It was on the west coast but we hv pics of that so not sure if its a conjured up memory cos of the pics or if I really remember it...I do vividly remember my first day of school sitting on my mothers lap in the hallway and being unceremoniously dragged off cos I wouldnt let go and being hauled up the corridor screaming my lungs off....My mother told me she sat in the yard for 3 yrs, waiting for me, was the only way she cld get me to go till I was about 7 laugh

I remember coming home from school and stopping off in the local butchers back yard to watch him slaughtering and butchering the animals. We all thought it was great fun.laugh

Hi Serenity,
I must have been 4 or five and I was in Germany at this school, either in Minden or Cella(sorry if I've spelt it wrong), my Dad was over there with the Army. I remember standing in front of a wire fence watching the children on the other side, they were German kids and were separated from us English kids.
We used to have a lie down in the afternoon and we slept on Army camp beds. Plus there are also other memories, which I could mention but there wouldn't be any paper left for anyone else to writ on grin

Good evening P , hope you are keeping well
you can remember far back when you were 4 or 5 --i would say that's pretty much the same for most of us --but there are people here who in their posts can remember being really young --it is amazing what the human brain can recall thumbs up

I can't remember how old I was, I must have been fairly small. I always brought flowers home from the field for my mum and remember going through grass j to my higher than my hips and a cat trailing after me going up to my knees... Apparently that cat was following me everywhere outside and I always brought flowers home from the fields for my mum - still doing that today from time to time. bouquet

Musta' been about 4-ish, out in my granparents in the countryside, decided to bring back in an empty milk bottle from the crate at the gate, tripped on the step on the way in, fell with the bottle and cut my hands, not badly, but bad enough to give me this fear of glass objects still to this day, like I'm afraid theyre gonna suddenly break and reef my hands! dunno

Theres loadsa' other things, but, theyre only little glimpses that dont really add up to much.

Hi serenity...great topic!I remember when I was about 3 my mam was bringing the others who were older than me to school. I must have been asleep when she was leaving and as the school would be only a few minutes away what can happen...right...lol Well anyways I woke climbed out of my bed , found the house was empty and managed to open the front door with a stool and started heading barefoot , nappy and all toeards thr school ..A neighbour came along in his tractor and stopped me and brought me into the tractor, imagine the shock and embarrassment when my mum came home and saw me sitting outside in the tractor bawling for mammy ..he he. suppose bad experiences stick in ones mind conversing
