mr1983: No I don't believe should.

Ok, then a woman that chooses to do as she pleases with her body also should not be penalized by that Governing state? According to you?

Again your assumption is wrong.
Right are not unqualified. Is it OK for me to choose to tell my finger to pull a trigger and kill someone because I have a right to choose?
Is it OK for me to incite violence and hatred through my right to free speech. No it is not.
I could go on but you know what I am getting at. The right to choose must be qualified against other rights.

I have merely asked questions. Now you have simply made other statements to where I was trying to just keep it more simple. From what you are saying it sounds as though you would have certain freedoms and obey certain laws though if you do not agree with what someone else is allowed that you object. I simply do not see how any government can have the right to enforce upon another human that they will or will not have a child. I simply wanted to see if you were at all open in what you are thinking and you have made it plain that you are not. Nothing has changed, Have a great night.

2intrigued: I think you're missing the point I'm trying to make. This topic is highly controversial and you are steadfast in your opinion as I am steadfast in mine.
My biological parents were Catholic Protestants and gave up 8 babies to families during their travels through Canada and the US. I was given up as rent. In a perfect world, everyone would take precautions against unwanted pregnancies but the world isn't perfect.

and you have turned into such a nice and wonderful person from such humble beginnings. hug this topic is so controversial.

Again your assumption of me is wrong. I have answered your questions pretty fairly. I believe in the right of bodily integrity. That's an implied right in Ireland. Not sure if it has the same title over there. I also believe in the right to life of the unborn. Unfortunately in this situation we have a conflict between these two rights. I believe that the latter should take precedent in this conflict. I don't think my answers gave the impression of anything else.

You have the right to your opinion.

mr1983: The main reason for this was wrongful use of media. The Irish media has to answer for this. But our leaders have no balls.

I think that is the definition of a politician. grin

the media are a force to be reckoned with.

Ireland used be full of leaders who were corrupt but they could lead and had balls!!laugh
Now we have leaders who generally aren't corrupt but are have no leadership skills at all. They lie down and allow themselves to be dictated to. It is a sad case of affairs really.
I know Americans are divided on their leaders but I'd accept Obama, Romney, Clinton, Bush, etc above any of ours any day of the week!!

What a total waste of time and effort.
2 million empty red envelopes won't change anything.

If you want to affect the government the envelopes have to be full.

felixis99: and this is precisely why religion is not part of gov't

these religious beliefs are appropriate choices for oneself - not to be pushed onto others who might not share them

if a fetus could talk, i'de lay 10 to 1 it would'nt want pro choice being shuved down its throat...
