Proof of life from Space?

“Galaxies are sprawling space systems composed of dust, gas, and countless stars. The number of galaxies cannot be counted—the observable universe alone may contain 100 billion. Some of these distant systems are similar to our own Milky Way galaxy, while others are quite different….”

With so many Galaxies what is the probability of finding life –out of planet Earth- as we now “life”?

and what about other forms of life?

I believe the universe has prolific life.

But we may never encounter it because of the enormous distances involved.

hug Hey JK,...bacteria is the OLDEST life on the planet,...probably the first,...and it still just keeps evolving,.....2.5 billion years of success as a life-form is cool,....so,...if somebody discovers "life" elsewhere",....bacterial or otherwise,....cool!head banger cool Life is life.

which is the simpler explanation?

A: the meteorite contains extraterrestrial diatom structures which are exactly like those found here on earth, or...

B: the meteorite was contaminated with terrestrial diatoms

c'mon people, really? doh
