whats a good way to propose to a woman? (100)
A family gathering you could do karoake sing her a love song and then propose to her, or plan a romantic getaway like Cancun and propose to her on the beach under the moon light. what ever way you chose it should be romantic and memorable....thats how I roll

Then...you lower the ring down in a basket and tell her, "It puts the ring on its finger or else it gets the hose again." Show her the hose to prove that you mean business.

A nice restraunt that has some music...arrange with the staff ahead of time to play her favorite romantic song at a pre-determined time...your waiter or waitress brings over a single red rose in a thin vase and a candle in a silver candlestick and lights it on your table...as he or she leaves you get down on one knee pull out the ring and pop the question...

not insulted at all. i totaly get what you are saying.and yeah , thats sound advice.
part of who i am is a big clown. i dont want a big show either... not a complete spectacle. but romantic gesture that does have some humor involved.

If you really want to do the joke thing you could reach into your pants pocket for change, act like you dropped a dime, get down on the floor with one knee to look for it, and then raise up looking at her and say.....Look what I found, will you marry me. The surprise will be there and the bended knee.
