chris27292729: But you answering my previous post, the EU supporting its own farmers first. If the EU is self sufficient producing its own Lamb and butter, why then importing.???? Its like saying to Aussies and to Kiwis, well no more ,find new markets.

that is exactly what UK did to both Australia and New Zealand, over night sorry no more imports of you whole primary production
Meanwhile UK and France were subsidising like the Swiss but the French were feeding the cows milk powder and the Brit Farmers were getting paid to grow crops then plough the crop in. So they gave the cattle Mad Cows Disease, which was Milk Fever in Disguise so they could get rid of half their livestock.
Australia did something similar with using jonas disease storytale on the sheep farmers to halve the number of sheep in this country.

Thinking all big government has gotten too big for their britches and any dismantling of such regimes is good thing. The EU, China, Russia, the US, the UK, Saudi Arabia, the UN, BRICS, OECD (giant corrupt chamber of commerce), IAA, WHO, NATO, TriLateral Commission ... all bad for people. Buncha freaks destroying our commons through taxation, war economy, "free-trade" controls....

America bailed out the EU soon after its formation again later then the EU bailed out the USA, whether the POME go or stay probably Bank Scotland will cop the blame, just ask Iceland and the Irish they'll probably tell you Bank Scotland's derivatives were conceived in America so lets blame Regan and the Fed Reserve, might as well

Absolutely. And I also think that Britain should be towed that little bit further into the North Sea, just that little bit further away.

Europe will implode in time...is not work and was only set up to benefit the bigger nations such as Germany/france.

Germany use this method as a new kind of dictatorship...2 world wars lost trying to control Europe...lets outsmart our European counterparts and use political means this time if we can not win the wars.

Britain see's it for what it is...Ireland should leave too but were kinda trapped now...u sign the contract then by law u must uphold the agreement...got us by the balls!!!

Actually every country in the EU is trapped, the rich and the poor, and the british are the only ones who always were skeptics with this mess.

It isn't that we are skeptics, we just aren't 'Europeans' We have always expected 'special treatment' from the EU and threaten to pull out if we don't get it. Take the 'level playing field' we want all the advantages offered by that but don't want to have to obey the rules that come with it. I think the UK will lose a lot more than we will gain. How many non EU companies will pull out of the UK, once the UK pulls out of the EU? How many manufacturer's will do the same?

I see the EU as a smoke screen. It's becoming a scapegoat of the Right to disguise the much larger problem of the materially resourceless economy i.e. it's disguising the facts that the Western private sector is a debt-subsidised joke and that our skills and ethics are useless.

Yes, we want out of the EU.. but this challenege pales as an insignificance compared to the challenge of Western re-industrialisation in the face intensifying global competition.

Re-industrialisation isn't really the answer. every UK worker's daily pay would pay for ten, twenty, thirty Chinese, or even Indian workers daily pay. We threw our reputation for quality down the bin in the 70's. Now we trade on our history, Rolls Royce, Jaguar, etc. We used to have the best educational system in the world, an education system which brought millions, if not billions into the country and helped subsidise our own students education, we've thrown that away as well. What we are left with is a service industry and unemployment.
