PJ1961: Right on! Looks like, once again, we have survived the big cataclysmic end some said would do us in... or seriously hamper our progress (ha)...
I wish...the doomsayers would just shut up and let us be - if something big happens, well, we deal with it - all the dire warnings do no good, they just instill fear, people don't need more fear. It's no wonder some are so off balance.
I saw somewhere that the catholic church is the ultimate source of the doomsayer concept that there will be three days of eclipse, resulting in cool temps, loss of oxygen, loss of plant life... that myth circulates among some I know and it's just plain dumb. They've convinced enough people that their lives, their activities, revolve around what to do to be prepared...
