Two/three years ago some guy named Newt Gingritch endorsed an apocalypse type novel in which not named enemies initiated an EMP strike against the US (and I think) some other countries. Since nothing worked anymore everything went into chaos. Town police and fire departments conducted raids on smaller towns to steal the food in their supermarkets, etc. Fun novel. Lots of stage II deaths when the medicines ran out and the heart lung and dialysis machines didn't work anymore. No more diabetics by month 3. Cool stuff.
I have a 40ft Container full of heavy-Gauge Alu-Foil which I can let people being scared of the Sun at a reasonable price,so they can wrap themselves and all their electric and electronic Appliances into it!
Well, with the new satellite array measuring the solar winds along with the ones following solar flare activity, we'll at least have a 2-3 day official notice if the Earth is going to take a direct hit. So Conrad, I'll pass on renting your Al-foil drum and hopefully have enough time to construct my own and buy a few kegs.
Those guys/gals inside the Colorado Mtns. have been kept real busy the last few years. Latest projection is 10+ yrs to replace the U.S. electrical grid.
Can you imagine every car operating in the U.S. just stopping in their tracks? .. chuckles .. Talk about grid lock!
Note to self: Buy extra roll of foil next shopping trip!
