Hey everyone!!!!!!!!!! I missed you all soooooo much! Well I just got back home. As you know I left on tuesday for the mayo clinic @ Rochester.
~*~Well I have GOOD news, and BAD news:
Good news: A 3rd open surgery WILL NOT be in the future as of yet. A new doctor, (the smartest man I've ever met), decided a new plan, which includes long-term use of a drug only meant for short periods at a time. Many risky side-effects...but may help show results. The mayo hasn't been able to find ANY OTHER cases like mine. THEREFORE: This condition WILL be named after me.
Bad news: The clot in my heart has grown, and split in half. Making it more unstable. A 3rd open heart is still plan B.
the thing is...the mayo clinic is the best. they are sooo cutting edge and research, and if you have something new, they'll do every single thing they can to help...
The best of this all is that we WILL have a NORMAL christmas!!!
I feel good, and nothing makes me happier than my son's recent health improvements. I know I had been wishing for a great miracle & the clot would be gone...but it could have been much much worse of a checkup. I am still waiting for the results of some tests took this morning but the hemotologist thought they'd come back negative. I'm still not totally in the clear and still in the "waiting" stage of the game. I'm just glad I have all your support.
Im happy now, because even if I do need a 3rd open heart it won't be until after June. This means my son & I can have a normal x-mas this year and I am going to see if I can still register for classes this spring. Pain in the butt, planning classes around surgeries lol! But now that I am in the clear until June, I am going to give it a try!
