Is it windy where you live? The problem with hairpices is that they can blow off. And then at some point you have to explain to your gf that it is fake. I would hate to be in that situation. I wonder if a woman would dump someone if she found that out. Ladies?
I said goodbye to mine 26 years ago, and have never looked back. It was already getting thin at 17, then the military killed it off the rest of the way. I thought, at one time, about getting a nice big tattoo up there, then decided, ummmm, NOT.
good thread!! I lost most of mine in my 30's. Spent the next 10 or so years "combing" it back and trying to grow it longer in the back to compensate probably. In the late 90's I buzz cut it and then in 2003 I started to sport my final "doo"!
I would never dream of replacement, wigs, hair piece whatever you wanna call it. The way I see it, if I was meant to have hair until I died it would still be there
I save tons of money on hair care products though Problem is the damned blades are more expensive than the hair care products. Oh yea I also know from experience that those 3,4 and 5 blade shaving systems are no better than the good old twin blade system I've used since my teens. Death to the comb over, come on guys shave it!!!woooohoooo
Hey Lordling I thought about a tat up there too "If you can read this you're having a good time" but I thought better of it. Makes it tough to get business clients with that kind of message.
Every guy I have ever known with this problem was self conscious with it. Usually wear hats, but then I have always heard that hats also add to the problem.
at my Salon I try to get the cliet to not hide the scalp but I do of course help them keep there individuality and sense of style!! I also charge a lot for it!!! LOL
now if ya really want the hot look, and I did this for a guy in Manila, Phillipines...shave it!! shave it, but with a straight edge!! now you are macho!! but get it done right !! no blood man ;-}
Me, I'm glad I don't have to be concerned with baldness. I haven't had a new pic up for a yr, but I have my hair grown back. The baldness trait doesn't run in my family. If I did, it would be the clean shaven look I have here.
Treatment....hair restorations, that's ok. a toupe or hairpiece is cheesy.
I read an article in the newspaper a few months ago about advances in hair cloning. they can take some of your hair follicles, clone them and inject them back into your balding areas where it grows. I am not sure how far away they are from having this procedure perfected, but when they do nobody will have to be bald if they want hair and have enough money to pay for it. I am sure it will still cost several thousand dollars.
