When Pappa passed away, my uncle would not have a cat on the property -hated them. We brought it back to Sydney with us as we had given this last one to him. It manged to catch 13 rabbits in 12 days near our place. We knew that because it would leave them in the dunny out the back.

Most mornings I hear them chirping away an hour before sunrise. One, maybe more, have decided that my courtyard off my bedroom is a safer place away from the cats. And nice to watch them taking a birdbath on the spa cover. They are not a native of AU but do have a beautiful song to greet the day.

That hour before sundown is a magic hour.... if you watch... all the birds chirp a bit.. like saying good night to each other... and the last remaining bees are looking for water.. but most have well gone, and my fish are all stirred up.. waiting for their supper... either their natural mozzie supper or what I give them..
