Is there any concrete proof that Mandela recommended or condoned this?
I honestly think he was a good man who sought equality for his people. Maybe I am naïve.

Those weapons were sent from a Loyalist expat not the 'Aparthide Whites' or the South African government. They can be no more linked with the government than the weapons sent from the US can be linked to the US Gov.

Face, what about the diplomat arrested in Paris..? Like collusion in the o6c, it went to the top. The SA gov. at the time may not have signed off papers etc, but they gave more than a nod and a wink. And because of the embargo's at the time were prepared to use who ever to get what ever....

South Africa's first black president and anti-apartheid icon Nelson Mandela has died, South Africa's president says.
Mr Mandela, 95, led South Africa's transition from white-minority rule in the 1990s, after 27 years in prison.
He had been receiving intense home-based medical care for a lung infection after three months in hospital.
In a statement on South African national TV, Mr Zuma said Mr Mandela had "departed" and was at peace.
