Planet Earth sits on the outskirts of the Mily Way, I think there is even a possibility for this solar system to be flung out into space as far as I am aware.

One pieces of evidence of that the big bang left behind is the background radiation the explosion left behind - and yes that radiation is indeed classified as "static" but picked up on a radio not ears.
No sound in the vaccum of space though.

Yeah, there won't be a bang though. It'll be just a slow union... galaxies are basically empty space for the most part. The chances of 2 star colliding would be extremely remote.
