sophiasummer: I found an old small picture' black and white picture of my grand mother. I took it to a place and had it blown up to 10x its size, its beautiful she was 9 years old, on an old chair holding a doll.
She has the most amazing hair! All curley, and all things around her. Has any one done that too? I gave it to her for a Christmas present framed.

Anne was the last person who was legally the Queen of England, and the last person to legally be Queen of Scotland, for in 1707 she gave her assent to the Union of the Parliaments of England and Scotland which thus abolished England and Scotland as independant nations to form one nation, The United Kingdom of Great Britain and Ireland (now Northenr Ireland). To this day the same constitution applies and so there is no monarch of England or Scotland, only a King or Queen of Great Britain.

Some early E II R pillar boxes were trashed in Scotland.
