WOW! I have a HUGE music library...over 350,000 songs deep! AND....this is the FIRST time I have ever heard this cover! Beautiful, haunting...at the right time and place, I would prefer this over Jimi's cover....but honestly....the original was never meant to be "dark"....it was a psychedelic moment of drug-infused song-writing! But SERIOUSLY. thank you for the post! What a great version! That is why I still hang around these forums....and okay,...maybe another reason or two...some nice people in here!

Yep, there's some pretty unique tunes out there and I think it would take more than a lifetime to find them all let alone listen to them. You can add that one to your library and no doubt I will discover more thanks to my son as without him, I likely wouldn't have found it on my own.

Probably makes no difference but you know these songs and other select songs by "The Goo Goo Dolls" are done with alternate tunings on the guitar. Even these two are done in different/separate "tunings". If you happen to watch them playing a few songs you may notice someone handing them a different guitar that is already tuned differently. I had one of my acoustics tuned for "Iris" when I was learning it years ago.
Dragos1: "6:15" If you take life as a crazy gamble Throw your dice take your chance You will see it from the different angle And you too can join the dance

I love the Scorpions! Grew up listening to them. They were at Carolina Rebellion this year and I so wanted to see them live. I didn't get to go because of work. They probably won't be back around again. I hate I missed it.

Well, if there is a "next time" let me know, I would like to go too you know. ;-}
Shinegirl: Just pulled them up. They are overseas for the rest of the year.
well, if we went in December to see them in Berlin we could stay around in Eastern Europe, maybe Budapest for Christmas. I don't know if your work would give you a bad time about it but you could simply claim that it was a testament to your "religious" beliefs. I know some friendly people there in Hungary and I think there is someone in Germany ....but it is easy to get around over there. And seeing the Scorpions in Germany would be fantastic I think.

I wished I could pick up and go like that but haven't reached that stage of my life yet. But to dream.....
