Alexandro10: Let's face it , he was a genius in football. I know some people won't like him! Even thought he admitted afterwards, but my question is: do you think anybody can come as greatest as him ?

As an Irishman, it brings me enormous pleasure when English get all angry about Maradonna. It's fantastic. And I would say to them... if it was the other way around. Anyway... Who dares. Wins.

As for being the greatest, he's up there.... the problem is... I don't think he's the very best. But he is one of the very best.

Yeah man that's what I mean....I always talk generally. There is always the other side of the coin...I don't think england would have raised there hands if Lineker would have done the same thing and Argentina would have said the same thinggrin in any game there is the two side of the coin.

Instead man to my opinion till today he is the best player on the pitch. Of course we got good players and top players ( George best, zico, falcao, ronaldo, ronaldino ecc ecc ) , but maradona was a genius on the pitch. A kick from outside yard was a penalty for him, and I don't support Naples.grin

The best goal of his life ( apart from the second goal against england ) he did it against the team that I support. Lazio of Rome.

For pure skill Brazilian Ronaldo tops my list,he was an absolute freak for a few years there.I really didn't see enough of Maradona to comment, however from what I have seen( famous world cup goals and the like)I'd say over-rated springs to mind.

Ohhhhhhhhh man, if your shoulders are to the net and suddenly the last defender makes a mistake and for your luck behind you its Maradona, and in a split second with the corner of his eyes he sees the goalkeeper out of position and he decides to do a flip ( long distance ) and the goalkeeper goes in the back of net, even if is luck. I call that genius . You can see what I mean in Napoli-Lazio maradona. I support Lazio laugh

The best footballers are those you see playing local matches on a Sunday afternoon, sadly money has ruined the true sprite of football and now it is just full of vastly overpaid prima-donnas who think they are the best.
