I used to like lying on a beach all day but not now, I get bored and I'm trying to preserve my skin. When I first moved to Spain my daughter said 'Mum please don't spend too much time in the sun and become one of those orange, wrinkly skinned middle-aged ex-pats!'
I like exploring new places so when I go on holiday I walk a lot during the day and relax with good food and a few drinks in the evening. Oh and I steer clear of the tourist traps whenever possible. I went to Sri Lanka a few years ago, probably the most exotic place I've ever been to, and couldn't believe the number of holiday makers who never ventured out of the hotel grounds.
