I spent time in some poor countries and I have been approached in person. Men will make a deal with the wife to divorce so they can marry the foreign woman, then when the time is right, divorce the woman and then remarry the first wife. This happens many times. The wives stick their head in the sand and just agree.

yes this happens a lot more often than people realize. my neighbour's girlfriend found out the hardway when she married some foreign student here 5 years ago.

I am preferring someone closer to my own age, however, the average age range of those who contact me is: 38-47.
Do you think many are caught up with the "cougar" fantasy, or do you think they desire a more mature woman, thinking there will be less drama, more focus, maturity?

do you think because a lot of men lie about their age and they are not 38 - 47 but add 5 to 10 years to that. I know my friend on another dating site, when she met them they were a "little bit" older than they put in their profile.

Oh, I'm sure many do...probably some ladies too!! However, I was thinking the other way! A lot of the "younger" men who contact me look far older than the age they have on their profiles!! If they aren't lying, then they sure lived fast/hard lives! One guy who asked me out, (profile showed 44 years old), looked older than me!!
I guess we all just need to be careful/picky with our choices!

can totally understand the dating seeming different after being in a long relationship
reading your profile and looking at your nice pics the reason you may be attracting younger men is
1/ you look younger than you are
2/ you seem to have a younger outlook on life
don't see why you shouldn't go with the flow as long as your careful and happy about things good luck
