Just pull a few 'sickies' over xmas. That way you have yourself an excuse to stay in bed, watch TV shows from lilly's link etc..
All you need to do is plan your sickies well, stock up on your vice/s like beer, wine, chocolate etc and put a 'highly contagious do not enter' sign on your bedroom door..

Yep, when kids are Young you make the extra effort... but nowadays I just feel like jetting off to Timbuktu! I hate all the falseness and forced extra stress... And the emaphasis on the loneliness for those who have no family, or isolated for some reason or other.
My childhood Christmas was fine..just a few decorations and being together with the rest of my family. School concert. And perhaps midnight mass... A mood set for practicing gratefulness, not wastefulness....

I tested one of my kids when she was about 10, told her this x-mas we prob cant afford any x-mas gifts.
She looked at me, smiled and said: Doent really matter mum, we got each other.
That was the best x-mas ever
Now i am on my own and dont have any x-mases so be happy your not on your own

Yes, Christmas is not Christmas without family and loved ones to share it with. My family is dotted all over the globe so I know exactly how you feel.
