Ccincy: I can remember getting a play kitchen which included a stove, refrigerator and table w chairs.I also got a doll and buggy.

Ohh I would have loved a play kitchen but made do with my roast chicken and canned vegetables I guess laugh

Yep, a couple of favourite dolls for me, I loved dressing and styling them .. funny how their hair didn't grow back though oops giggle

Some little girls like to dress their pet up into doll clothes and put them in the doll carriage - I was a little bit more imaginative......

Mimi1973: My late Kung-Kung ( maternal grandpa in Cantonese ) bought me a really colourful toy xylophone that drove my grandma crazy when I started hitting on it!

Also, since my mom was largely missing from my life, I cherished anything that she bought me. Still keeping some of those

Was not really a demanding child and my generous grandparents ( the best grandparents in the world ) always make sure I have enough toys to play with....I love them very much

Aww very sweet Mimi, they were certainly special times eh hug

When I was really little - my older sister gave me a drum for my birthday - my parents were horrified because they though I would make such a noise and bother the neighbors.....

little did they know, that I used the drum as a stepladder and could reach the handle to the doors and escape.....

I think that is how I got the name little houdini..... or was it little hooligan?

My bestie is in Scotland, but is American. I just don't know which one to get her. We will see....wonder if they have a Pippi Longstocking one? I will have to google that! Thinking of some of her favorite books from childhood.

Don't you just love Barbies?

Having four daughters was a lot of fun too, they all had Barbies! Barbie houses, cars, you name it!

poor kitty, funny kitty, purr, purr, purr.

I can't begin to tell you about the months when we pretended to be hairdressers. Of course we were not allowed real scissors.

Begged, borrowed and stole to get this toy gun at a tender age.

For enthusiasts, I would like to remind you that this type of spud gun also doubles up as a water pistol, as well as taking plastic cartridges to provide the all important loud "bang" sound in use.

Its nice to know that they do sell them still and now that the price aint a problem at all.

I think it will be on my X mas list for when buying presents for youngsters or even those young at heart (owning one beats those shoot them up video games hands down).
