My favourite toy if you could call it that was an air rifle I got for my 8th birthday, my dad taught me about responsible gun ownership and how to shoot. They're good memories, and I can vaguely remember a stuffed toy rabbit with stitched eyes from when I was really little, I wonder whatever happened to my bunny?confused blues

you probably used it for target practice rolling on the floor laughing just kidding
my favorite toy was my imagination, with it I could explore the universe or be a pirate or whatever I could dream up (and with a scrap wood pile close at hand I could make anything I wanted to go along with my imagination)
now my toys are numerous (5 motorcycles, 3 boats, three trucks, a bmw and a motorhome and more tools than I can count) but I probably play with my computer the most dunno

I think a childs imagination is underrated to a large extent, growing up I didn't have a lot of friends around my place, but I had my dog and an imagination, with that the two of us were world beaters, Thanks for the thread Serene it's brought back some nice memories I hadn't thought of in a long time.hug wine

serene56: ... from your childhood Do you recall what toys were your favourite And what about the ones you sooo wanted and never got

Surprisingly I got the two toys I wanted

One was a particular doll

The other was a typewriter where you turned the dial to type a character.

If this was a picture thread I could post a pic

I know you didn't ask this Serene but I have to tell the ladies that I also wanted a crinoline. The guys are saying ... a what laugh

A crinoline is layers and layers of netting that is worn under a skirt to make it stand out. I got a great one for Christmas.

P.S. I guess that little tin typewriter was the start of my legal career (lots and lots of typing) giggle

My late Kung-Kung ( maternal grandpa in Cantonese ) bought me a really colourful toy xylophone that drove my grandma crazy when I started hitting on it! giggle giggle giggle

Also, since my mom was largely missing from my life, I cherished anything that she bought me. Still keeping some of those smitten

Was not really a demanding child and my generous grandparents ( the best grandparents in the world smitten smitten smitten ) always make sure I have enough toys to play with....I love them very much heart beating heart beating heart beating
