I do believe so, I was in Germany once, I went to a café shop
Met there some Italians, asked them if they were visiting like me
they said, no we're living in Germany our country is poor
but not Germany...true story

It's a common problem for many of us guys. The term for it in Italian is "mostro acchiappamosche
(for some reason you are attracting undesirable types.) There are solutions to changing this, but it is not in my professional spectrum to advise. --gee, it seems to happen to me, too, but a lot less, now. We must be very observant, alert, and wise in this world, my friend.
