Hi Ger, nice to see your still here on CS. Mr. Pepperoni likes to post threads just to see other peoples reactions. I would suppose all in fun. If he were to come to Canada he would find things pretty much like you described.The only places that he may not find the down home hospitality would be in some of our larger cities,but that happens most every where. You have a good day. Ken!!

So true, and I've been negligent in my own thread that I started on here a while back. I just don't know what to say some days, seeing as the election isn't for a few months yet. I realise that no matter what is said, it'll be days, weeks, or even months in between replies, so I guess I should take better care of something I started.
Nice to see you continually replying, as well as Witty and others stopping in on occasion.

Happy Canada Day, Kid. 148 yrs old today.My earliest memory of Canada day was our Centennial. I was in Grade 6 and our Government handed out Centennial Medallions to all students. It was special to me because my father was the Chief of Police in our town and it was him who handed out the medallions to all of us students.

Cool story, I appreciate people sharing things like that. I remember getting an Alberta 75 coin at the legislature here in Edmonton when I was a kid, can't remember who handed it to us though, likely some beaurocrat.
Just having a nice little fire in the back yard here at my Dad's, the hounds are playing nicely. I was thinking of going to see the fireworks, but I've had a couple beers, and I don't feel like riding my bike for 40k, so the fire will have to do.
