No ,its not the farmers on the road with silage machines!

It's about exam time, then later on, the exam results.

Our lives are not a series of academic results,
at least it is not suited to everyone, its abour discovering who you
really are and what is suited to you.

There is a lot of pressure on young people to achieve high results,
is it not better to help them along the way hope they do the very best they can , without the pressure.
Certainly if they put the pressure on themselves, because they want to do well, then that's ok.

Please feel free to discuss!wave

Education system all based on academic results not fair because we are all intelligent in our own way and creatativity is intelligence ,open mindedness and creative types might not be academic according to our education system ,should be brought out even with academic types,

Just think there should be a line drawn between those that are academic types and people good with their hands or creative types in our education system ,

Me and the education system have after many years reached an understanding.
We both fail each other equally..

Unfortunately for me I am one of those who are not suited to the methods employed to impart knowledge to students. This was to my detriment in my childhood and youth. Thankfully in my late 20's i started to take an intrest in other directions of education and a less structured time frame let me achieve my level of education I am at now. Although form some of the nonsense I post on CS its hard to tell but I am quite smart.

I will never put pressure on my kids to bend to near breaking around someone else's learning curve. Let them learn in their own time but guide them in the right direction. I make them read and that's about it.

Nice topic. ireland
