A seemingly unprovoked horse attacking an alligator near Gainesville, Florida was captured in footage originally shared by Krystal Berry on Wednesday
Berry and friends were returning to their cars from the La Chua Trail at Paynes Praire when they first noticed a team of horses grazing
They noticed the alligator second, who was lying still in the grass near the horses
A few moments later, the closest horse moved towards the gator and stomped on it as it lay there; the gator bit back at the horse once on camera
The video has been viewed nearly 100,000 since it was first posted six hours ago

wow I suppose the horse felt that the alligator was a bit too close for comfort so figured he better take care of business before the gator gets any ideas to harm him or his buddies.. laugh
