Fear and Loathing in Las Vegas, with Johnny Depp and Benicio del Toro.
Johnny is a gonzo journalist and he gets the job to write about a motorrace in the desert around Las Vegas. Het takes his attorney, Benicio, withim, and also all kind of drugs and booze. The movie is very funny and seems to be all loose parts, but if you look real good, you can see the red line through the story. (or is it a white line... rolling on the floor laughing )

Apocalypto....directed by Mel Gibson.

Loved everything about it.
I'm not a fan of subtitled films...nor films with very little dialogue...but everything about that film I loved...and it's not my usual type.

All of Mel Gibson directed films are a winner in my book...Braveheart and Hacksaw Ridge being another two that are excellent....have yet to see the passion of the Christ but will at some stage.

Must watch yours Arthur I love thrillers.

The performances in it were great but I thought the violence in it was way overdone. Jesus looked like he didn't have any skin by the end. In reality Jesus was whipped which was bad enough, but he wasn't put through a blender like he pretty much was in that movie.

I really loved Mel Gibsons Hamlet though. Watched it with my then teenage sister on the recommendation of her English teacher who went to see it for the laugh but turned out it was a great adaption of the play. My sister loved it and I thought it was great.
