You bring up about 3 or 5 questions to sort out ... how do so called 'predictions' work (which are really extrapolations of the fact pattern).What is going on?

Or you could use the word 'prognosis' ... from learned experienced people ... see a toxic infected toe .. and then purport in predicting the future .. you keep on with this you will have your foot - leg .. cut off by a surgeon. Mainly because you are smoker which makes the body set into Reynauds Disease ... and other chronic addiction damage disease.
As for population reduction ... in deer ... horses ... cockroaches ... whales .. humans .. and people making prediction .. prognosis ... extrapolations of the fact pattern ... it is just looking at the history .. and then seeing that historical pattern also in the offing.
That is how they figured out the 'Canary in the Cage' psychic animal thingy ... the Canary dies in that place .. then other animals bigger will die soon there after ... like humans.
Most people ... are blind ... addicted ... neurotic .. dysfunctional.
Most people know not what they do .. and get angry at you saying the boat is sinking and they yell at you .. NO IT IS NOT SINKING !!!
Just like Trump FAA came out and insisted that the Boeing 737 that was built by the Obama FAA .. is absolutely perfect .. nothing wrong here.
It is pilot error going on ... etc ... etc .. I am sure you heard their nonsense often times enough by your age.
Other people that are more open minded .. and open eyed (they have a smaller splinter of fear and anger in their eye -- fear and anger are blind ... love sees).
Well these other people .. says .. the Boeing 737 is dangerous and built by the Obama FAA and protected by the Trump FAA ... where both of them are the same piece of crap for a human being.
These other people ... can SEE that .. and then make prognosis .. prediction .. extrapolate the fact pattern.

PS .. you want to SEE .. then remove the splinter from your eye. Easy to do .. but very very few people want to do it. Mind you ... the doing so .. hurts like hell .. makes the eyes water up some.

However, it appears that nobody has heard of it, or read about those stones - particularly Americans !- leading me to believe that it is a hush-hush subject in America?
