I don't think anyone saw this future 100 years ago. It's rather bland.But to be honest the real problem is you see one future. I do not see multiple time streams, but do I see time as more than one dimension (think of the xyz of space). Each present has more than one past and more than one future. Consider the Uncertainty Principle. I don't think viewing something determines what it is; I think viewing something determines which viewer you are.
I hope flying cars do happen. We've been waiting for them a long time. But consider how much worse the bad drivers will be. :-)
