Sad but I remember statements said to us as American citizens as to why it was imperative to use military force for the situation existing in Iraq. I remember what was said why we needed to occupy Iraq...so not refering to current events but, with all the information we each have acquired on our own using our hindsight....being a monday morning quarterback Was George Bush right with the attack and invasion of Iraq????
George bush said that Iraq was an immenent threat and they distorted and manipulated information to the American public. It was mandated that when the commission that was hand picked to investigate only investigate the CIA's handling of the information and not Bush's use of it because if it was proven that he distorted and manipulated information this is high crime and reason for impeachment. Why else would Tenet get the medal of Freedom? (Freedom of Facts)
We supposedly entered into Iraq because Sadam would not give up the supposed arsenal of bio weapons that he was hidding. The blockade of Cuba was over the missile that were there. My comparison is the two different ways that each was handled.
But, there actually were missles in, or on their way to, Cuba.
Although I can see where a comparison could be made here, the analogy loses a bit of steam when we consider that were no WMD in Iraq, and Bush knew that!

I agree with Pucks that force in Afganistan was probably the right thing to do as Osama was based in Afganistan and he was the culprit for 9/11, so why did Mr Bush send a very small amount of troups to Afganistan compared with Iraq ???????? Reason i believe is simple - OIL!!!!!

Yes i agree with the comparison but we know Iraq did have WMD because we sold them to Iraq decades ago but the question know is what happened to them????
Mr Bush was wrong to invade Iraq because there was no real evidence whats happened to them
Are you implying that Osama, who was based out of Afghanistan... managed to procure a ton of Saudi accomplices to pull off 9/11? Most of them were of Saudi background, with a few egyptian. I don't see how they tie together.

At the time of the 9/11 attacks Osama was based in Afghanistan working with the Taliban, Al Quida as far as i know uses many Muslim people to carry out there attacks.
He was wrong and he did tell Saddam if you have no weapens of mass destruction you could still run Iraq, I think the the Afgan invasion had more to do with the oil pipe line that runs the width of the country and funny how the Afghan president was once the president of a large oil company, And yeah it is true that the the people behind 9/11 were mostly saudi and from what i know they were taught the art of low level flying at speed by the Saudi military
