BandWhiteApollo: I found this thread ironic because I believe only once did anyone respond to what I'd posted. I know, I know, my political posts are rants exponentiated, and thus in this regard I understand. But otherwise it seems the 12 people go on endlessly glad-handing with very little substance.

I'm used to posting with substance, and have on these forums, perhaps that's the reason why I post without response. But many of you have these staggering post counts that suggest you've been posting as a group for a very long time and thus have little inclination to include the new.
BandWhiteApollo,
As the moment I saw your post I asked is this the first time you replied to this thread, Meaning that i did not see an earlier post from you...

the other threads, I have no Idea where you posted..

And Yes many of us have been here a long time and somewhat familiar with each other, and each others patterns.
so many times newcomers do get skipped over...

as it used to be set up we had a Newcomers section where you could come in and get acquainted with people before just jumping into the Forums...

Due to this fact, My Suggestion would be to post a thread, Saying I am new here, Introduce Yourself, and then you will get people's attention, and get a Greeting, Instead of just being kinda being lost in the forums... sorry this has been a bad starting Experience on CS... So if you will do a thread as I suggested, I am sure that you will be Welcomed, and recognised as well, Then I would think that you would be more Recognised...cswelcome teddybear

Sounds like you believe that there are cliques on here when you say "12 people go on endlessly glad-handing with very little substance." They're not cliques Mr. Apollo. They are people who are on the same wave length at that time. Catch them a different day and they will be very different people.

When I joined it was by mistake. I was looking for a site for penpals. Somehow I clicked on CS and saw all these people writing back and forth to each other. I thought it was great but little did I know what really was going on in the threads.

One day I got the nerve to respond to a thread when a guy wrote the word testicular. I was shocked and embarrassed. I would never use that word in public. (That was in 2006 when I joined.) I scolded the guy for using that word and oh boy did I get attacked by other members. And they went at me full barrel.

My hero stepped out of the woodwork and saved me. His name is Vinnie. He spent a lot of time trying to make people see that I wasn't a troll. When I joined my name was Snuggle. People called me Snuggs. Vinnie convinced people that anyone who joined a dating site with the name Snuggle wasn't all bad.

It took a long time before I posted again. Vinnie defending me was all I needed to write a thread. The thread I wrote was about a mother, father and two sons. The young son was favored by the father. The older son couldn't stand it that his brother won their parents love and so he took a shotgun and killed the younger son. The father said the only way he could go on with his life was to give forgiveness to his older son. Members posted on that thread. There were a lot of opinions of what should have happened.

The point I'm making is it takes more than writing a few posts to feel like you belong. Perhaps if you write a thread giving people a chance to respond to you it might make you see that you are one of the pack. wine

Hotrod, it seems you haven't noticed that you have gotten no one who hasn't posted before to post? It's not a conspiracy of the regulars; it's the clutter of the regulars posting. Enjoy yourselves. No wonder this is Part 3.

No I really think that their was a misunderstanding early on in the thread that had disrupted peoples thoughts of posting.. The Misunderstanding has been resolved...
If You have not read part 1, and part 2 were both years ago...and had very many who began posting. They are posted on page 2...We can't win um all...

Maybe you can do one with better results?

But so far 9 pages, and still coming up....
