To show the subjagated peoples of a huge empire that they are in fact Brothers in Christ. Because Caeser is effectively the new god the new testament espouses a spiritual we the people to soothe what is a monstrously inequal distribution of real power. Through Jesus god became just a man and when he dies on the cross this is symbolises the end of god's active involvement on earth. A new testament for the new age where Caeser rules officially.

The Lord didn't come just to die for us. We're speaking of the creator. The holy God because God is Holy. He said he cannot accept sin in his presence. And because we are not holy. He needed to show us. That we needed. Salvation that we could not save ourselves from our own goodness. God is love. Jesus laid down his own life. That no one could take it from him. Because he loved us. God did not create us because he needed. Us He created us. To love him He seeks those. Who will love him? And those who love him. He paid for their sin and they will spend eternity with him.
