Just talked to my sister today ... she had surgery a couple days ago for Chiari 1 Malformation. She's doing alright and may be released from the hospital tomorrow.

No worries My sister is actually a nurse, as well. They did a posterior fossa decompression. I'm told she had a TON of fluid built-up, which was the cause for many of her symptoms.
She's already feeling better, symptom-wise so I am happy.
