Mercedes_00: I just found out what I have been wanting to know...We're never going to have zero cases now she says..When my state does reach 80% of people vaccinated we here in nsw will always have restrictions..In other words I will be living my life social distancing and at times wearing a mask..Gee I have a lot to look forward too

We never have zero cases of the 'flu because it's endemic. Because of governments' and public handling of the pandemic, we won't eradicate covid and it will most likely become endemic, but that doesn't necessarily mean we will always have to socially distance and wear masks.
It'll probably alter lots of things (like the fashion for open plan offices and opprtunities for working remotely) and it's likely that outbreaks will involve localised actions for some time to come, but don't get despondent just yet, Merc.
