Travelling alone in Canada (11)

Can you help me with tips on how to travel alone in Canada ...where to avoid.. Best places to see etc.

Best I can tell you don't travel alone without the following:
Forks in your boots
Anything really to protect yourself
Pepperspray (also known as Bear Spray)
Whistles (loud ones)
Your cell phone! and charger with a solar battery pack
Keys in between your fingers
oh there is more but I can't say on here

Where to avoid:
Bigger Cities, mainly, crime rate is way up
actually crime is up everywhere right now, home invasions, theft rising, drugs, scams galore. you name it

Best places to see:
Banff and Jasper Parks, Icefields are awesome
I wouldn't recommend them at this time though due to the wildfires, smoky skies this summer every day
If you like camping/fishing/swimming in the natural springs, those are 2 areas that are majestic to view
Of course that's only in my province

Calgary Stampede if you like cowboy's plenty of them around
Fireworks almost every holiday and even if it's not

I speak only from a western point of view
Used to be a lovable Country but not anymore
