Original Image most likely removed for some reason!

Need more information. Are you on a desktop/laptop/cellphone?
What browser are you using?

I find images that show up on my desktop don't always show up on my phone.
Not sure why, but people who have metered connections would use more bandwidth if every linked image appeared when they surf.
You have to actually click the link to see the image.

Good points but These images showed up forever on any device I used until now: iphone, ipad, mac mini, windows 10 machine. Clicking these images I am talking about show nothing. Maybe the owners will explain?

Im not 100% certain of this. BUT what little i think i know goes something like this.
The person who posted the image has not logged on to the site for a period of time set by the site.
Example-maybe: user Thom Pitbull has posted pictures of dogs on youtube.
Thom has not logged onto youtube in over 3 years (or whatever time they set.)
He can be, "presumed dead" or presumed to no longer be using the system. So youtube takes down those pictures off their site to make way for new ones.
It is also possible, the person-people who owned the pictures contacted youtube saying they have copyright to said images and youtube must by law, take them down. Youtube tries to contact Thom but gets no response. So they take the pictures down.
