Don't get excited, BB, I'm not "following" it, I just find it interesting. I'll continue along my own path, if you don't mind. I'm sorry, BB, I know I say a lot of things I shouldn't. But you are always trying to educate me, and it feels patronising, and it makes me a bit snappy.

I’ve talked about Free Will from time to time. Primarily from a spiritual viewpoint. Here it is again: Christians will agree that Free-Will is given to all by God. He wants us to have it. However, Christians also (tend) to believe that if we use our God-given gift of Free Will for choices, etc…that do not “fit” the Christian status quo, then we burn in hell. Now, this is conflicting, and a three-dimensional oxymoron. So, God gives people He loves a gift, pleasantly, willingly, and He wants them to accept it/have it. But the gig is, if you use it, you burn. I find that so untenable in every possible way, and I don’t believe it at all.

The Christian view is just one of many, and I don't see any reason to take it into account when we are trying to figure out what free will is.------ This thread is Archived ------

Ah right, I see...I guess the only way around that is to find a purpose...I don't want that to sound cold or callous it's not meant that way...because no amount of talking or advice will change it for you until you change it...and find a purpose..does that make sense?I need a purpose in life, I think.
