It does not diminish the fact that Americans are well endowed with guns (400 million and counting) and depending on where you live, guns can be used with ease for legitimate and illegal uses. You didn't address the law in Texas. As long as there are 50 states that produce thousands of laws regulating or not regulating guns - what we get is chaos and confusion. I am not surprised by the local police response to the deadly shooting in Uvalde,Texas - the police don't know what to do and don't have training to combat the level of armed citizens who know more about guns than they do. how about that government that beeefs up it's own security how ever it wants when ever it wants yet denies those same securities to certain institutions and functions?
