sdarlagg: The USA is undeniably the most generous and charitable country in this world. I am curious, do you know how many countries give money to the USA? I bet, The EU has adults that can settle their own disputes among themselves and other countries if they try.
I am totally in doubt that USA ever did something that it thought wouldn't bring it income tenfold.

USA, through their political system that guarantees a number of certain freedoms - that a lot of other countries don't (needless to say) - attract human capital from all around the world. Called "Brain drain".

It is the propulsion of the progress and it is not your personal achievement. (I think you've averted a brain or two with your personal aesthetic choice, that I wish you to maintain.)

But you are welcome!
