Do any of you have any particular stone you feel comfortable with or that is special to you when you see or wear it?.....In the natural state or in jewelry or other items.....some have special meanings other than birth stones....just curious.....

OH!

you read me, eh? lol

I live by the quality of crystals and stones...

They resonate, and absorb energy...

My birthstone is Amethyst. I lady from the UK sent me an antique on from a second hand shop...was about 5-6 years ago. I have it in a necklace.

One of the fav things in my garden was keeping natural elements in it. stones, wood, and metal...

very cool, stuff.

Aqua marine stones are meaningful to me it was my mom's birthstone. most of my fingers have rings with that particular stone in the rings. Pathetic in some ways.

She just died to young so that's my meaningful answer and stone.

Duno if you've ever done this...

but if you find a nice, smooth stone. Maybe palm sized... whenever your not feeling the best, try just holding it.
let it absorb your excess energy.
think of light, and breath evenly.

and, not even, too. I used to carry some with me.

nature works her magic if you let it...

I love hematite jewelry. I have a beautiful necklace made entirely of it with a medium sized heart in the middle. I love the way hematite picks up the light outside and inside, sometimes makes it look like black pearls. Everytime I wear my necklace I get lots of compliments on it...it's very noticeably stunning looking.

Three summers ago, my daughter went to Rome for a holiday. She brought me back a small stone that she had picked up in St. Peter's Square. As a Catholic, it is a special stone indeed.

My favorite is sapphires. It happens to be my daughter's birthstone, but I've always liked the color. My favorite pair of earrings are silver with kinda opaque sapphires in them, and I have a star sapphire ring, just cheap stuff, but I like it. What I really want a band of entirely sapphires, channel set. No diamonds like you see in most sapphaire rings, they detract from the deep blue. I'd probably have to have it custom made, I've never seen one like I want. One day when I've got and extra $2 or 3,000 laying around, I will have one.

I use stones and gems in prayers (Wiccan prayers) and when I read people's Tarot cards. But I am drawn to Hemitite (Spelling??) and Quartz.
