Karla Homolka gave birth to a child last week, while an investigation is underway to determine whether a nurse refused to give the notorious killer medical care. For those who don't know about her, she helped her husband torture and murder 3 teenage girls including her younger sister. She received a light sentence and was released 2 years ago because of a screw up in our legal system. She is a psychopath. Yes or no to the nurse ?

As much as i would like to side with the nurse...and probably secretly do inside...her job in the medical profession is not to pick and choose who she will assist...her job is to provide medical assistant to ALL that walk through those doors to the best of her ability...

I remember this case...I had intimate inside knowledge of this case because I had a family member that worked within the court system during this case....she had to take a 2 year leave of absence after this case to pull herself together....and eventually changed jobs within the government...

I'm just saying this for those who don't know much about the case (if there is such a thing!!) to know the harsh impact it had on people's lives....

I cannot imagine the impact this news would have on the French and Mahaffey families. This woman ( karla) denied them thier daughters yet is allowed to have a child of her own in my opinion thier is no justice in this world that would allow such a person freedom let alone the priviledge of having her own child. I would hope in this case that our child care system will step in and see this beast as unfit to be a mothervery mad

As a "free" society we cannot take away her right to have a child of her own, HOWEVER I totally agree with Wikked - she should not be allowed to raise her child... in my opinion murder should instantly forfeit any parental rights. Who is to say she wouldn't do it to her own child...

Not to mention if you are able to do what she did to your own sister, how are you gonna treat your own child? How the hell can somebody like her love unconditionly. Sorry, I dont like to judge people but I have a hard time with this one....sigh

I agree with you and Wikked.

I do not agree however at how the nurse treated her because it is her profession and she has no right to judge and should do her job accordingly. If she had issues with the patient then she should have asked for someone to take her place. She should have been thinking of the baby's well fare at least.

But yes I don't think that Homolka should have a right to raise that child especialy after what she has done. I really feel sympathy for that child having to have to be raised by her.

So sad, legal eagles of day the made a deal with the devil. For any one not to see that this would happen well you would have be an idiot. My question is who fathered the monsters baby and what do you tell this child about his monster(Mother) when they are old enough to know . Dammit I needed a building permit for an addition on my house, but anyone can have children, even monsters.....sick.barf

Her tubes should have been tied the day she entered prison as part of her sentencing.

The nurse however, has an obligation that she refused and should be disciplined accordingly.

It will be with deep regret for sure for whoever has to mete out discipline to that nurse...

I must say though i am curious to see if someone will "own up" to fathering that child...no doubt for the financial benefits...or will they stay in hiding knowing how the public feels about this woman and the same brush will tar him for having been her lover...dunno
