very mad
Hi.
As most of you that know me or have read my profile, you will know that I am currently unemployed.
This morning I recieved a phone call from a firm about 18 miles from where I live saying that I should go there for a job interview.
With my heart thumping at the thought of gaining work again. I jumped on my scooter and got there as fast as I could.
However,
When I got there, the receptionist told me,
'Oh No!, not another. You are the third person this morning."
Apparentley, some sicko has been phoning people who are unemployed and saying that there is a position vacant at this firm, when in actual fact, there never was in the first place.
I find it heartbreaking and maddening to find that anyone could do this sort of thing for kicks!frustrated frustrated frustrated very mad uk

It's always awful to dwell on the misery of others, even more to make a joke of it

Since you have a phone.....always call to verify something that you have not actually applied for......save time and money....ask for the personel director and if they have any job positions open first.....even in this small town I do that....even if the person tells me face to face there is a job opened.....I always call firstwave

Good idea. I was thinking the same thing. Call the company back and simply ask to verify/confirm your interview. Sorry sweetie.kiss hug comfort

It sucks to not have a job or wheels to get around. People can actually treat you diferent for it. The main reason I went by the name Rainbow was because I was always chasing them. It is kind of like the cliche, "The grass is always greener on the other side of the fence." Instead of looking counting my blessings I would covet what my neighbor had. One day I watering the lawn and a little rainbow appeared. I thought, heck I can make my own rainbows. I am sorry you had to go through this because I know it can feel like someone kicking you when you are down.hug
