Both, hair stands on end trying to make end's meet, but when I see the star's in the sky and remember what the holiday is about, I love this time of year.

Santa only takes the heat IF they sit on his knee and proceeds to name 1 hunnert things they want and its promised...

The parent is blamed on the other end... "you didn't sent my letter to Santa.. you left the fire buring in the fire place... he didn't get enough cookies.. etc.."..

Catch 22.. we never win!!

HEY FRIENDS! Actually both, I am with Jax....people are to into the commercialization of Christmas.

Did you know that Jesus was actually born in April? If you read the bible, you will also know the The Lord says "Remember my death, not my birth" Did you also know that in the original Webster's dictionary "santa" mean satan? Just a few little known facts.......I however celebrate Christmas as the rest of the world does and Santa comes each and every Christmas Eve as he has for centuries!! LOL!

I just get annoyed at the way people are so hurried and unfriendly in the malls and shopping centers.....if you don't like it, shop online!! LMAO!!!!

Christmas just don't excite me like it used to. As a child I couldn't wait to tear into the gifts under the tree. It has become overly commercialized now days.

Being single for a while now, I don't really get to enthused about them. I can deal with it, but being alone sucks.

Christmas was my late grandmothers b-day. I try to make a trip to her grave every yr on Christmas, one of a few thru the yr. I know she's with me in spirit, but I still wish she were in life. It can be both a sad and happy day.

Christmas is greatly misconstrued anymore. A lot of people don't realize what Christmas is really about.

I like Christmas!

I like the snow, the lights, decorations and the Xmas tree. Oh and the food. I make lots of cookies.

We have a radio station here that plays only Christmas music starting just before Thanksgiving and ending just after Christmas.

I drive around town singing Christmas music. Heck, I'm the only adult under the age of 65 here, so why not!

Really does it matter if Jesus was born in April or December??? Fact is we are celebrating the day.. I know sometimes we celebrate birthdays in my house on a different day because of circumstances.. so we have a day to celebrate Jesus being born.

Santa is for the kids.. their excitement and yes it is very commercialized but thats why we need to make sure our kids know the meaning of christmas. My daughter asks for so many things but she knows I do not have alot of money.. and she knows I worry and she always is saying she is happy with whatever I get her and if I can't get anything she understands. It is so easy when they are younger.. Maggie will be pleased with anything.

Just concentrate on making things special in other ways. Its a warming time for family and friends..I make alot of my own gifts and find bargains.

Spend time with your kids make traditions. Read the night before Christmas.. make snowflakes with them and hang them up.. chain paper links and hang them.. cut up old christmas cards and make things.. i made a christmas tree one year out of old cards.. you can also make name tags with old cards.. make your own christmas cards.. with the kids of course. Make popcorn and hot chocolate and watch christmas movies.

Be sure to explain if your child asks for something you cannot afford that christmas is not about the gift and it cannot be afforded.. do not wait for christmas day for the let down.. be upfront so they are prepared and give them a price range.. and if young.. tell them santa does not make it and you cannot afford it.. tell them you understand how they feel etc.

Christmas does not need to be ruined by lack of money. Its all what you make it. Count your blessings. Christmas day is all about being with family.. warm and happy.. no matter how little you have and being thankful for Jesus being born to save us. Read the birth of Jesus together.. make traditions that do not involve money. BE HAPPY! Go for walk together.. sing christmas songs!

AHHHHH Arabella... you are my light this morning.. someone else who loves christmas... making cookies with christmas lights all a glow and christmas music playing... come on everyone with kids.. let them get messy and make some fun cookies.. ginger bread with fun icing.. there are so many ways to have a nice christmas with our kids.

Here we have the fantasy of lights in our really big park.. everyone goes there.. walks and sings and enjoys all the lights.. all the businesses and churches add their own displays.. when it snows its so beautiful.. we also light candles at the water and release them for our lost loved ones... its so beautiful!

In July.. i mean for some its a thought.. like with me.. I start my crafts and things but thats what I enjoy. Personally I do not get right into Christmas until endof November.. once lights go up and Christmas music in the store, etc. Just relax and enjoy it.. if we did not have things like this we would be bored! yes I know boring is nice at times lol

I agree with Shaun on this. It is depressing, not to mention, if you slow down in the store, you get your feet ran over and a cart ran up your a_ _. I say, just bring on January.
