Every time I hear "King of Pain" by the Police, I think of Eddie Sowden. Tall, blonde, furry...but not like Sasquatch. Very charming and witty. I snuck out of the house to see him when I was 16 and was scared to death that I was going to get caught.
He said to me, underneath the shining red light in his room, "don't worry so much. Let's enjoy this time together and if we get into trouble, we'll cross that bridge together if it comes"... wistful
It was heaven and I hope to hell my daughter never comes across such a smoothe talker!
It's been years since I have seen him but we are still good friends to this day.
