Ah, that makes sense, it was originally developed as an anti depressant, but when they tested it they found that the participants lost the desire to smoke, so they took it back to the lab and fiddled with it a bit and hey presto, it became an anti smoking drug.

Cold turkey is prob your best option then, all the nicotine is out of your system within 48 hours, after that it's all psychologicaldoh

people will listen though, the ban has been v successful in northern ireland and scotland and wales!

its the rights of the non smokers to reduce their health risks i think the government is most concerned with, not the rights of the smokers to pollute wherever they please!

Well said that woman! applause

I've never smoked, - never saw the point of stinking like an ashtray and being skint!

There were all the same arguments when the ban was brought in here over a year ago, but they faded fast. The hardenend smokers are usually the first to admit they are glad to be smoking less as they don't just light up without thinking (auto pilot made redundant), that when they do make the effort to go out to smoke they think about it first and question the real 'need', and besides which it's such a money saver!

Pubs actually have a new trade...they have to make more effort with food because smokers can taste their food better!

It means families can go in and enjoy a drink and a meal without having to work hard at avoiding the reek of cigarette smoke.

And for those of us with 'sensitive' lungs, we can Paartaay...much longerpeace yay

Besides which, we don't smell half as bad...and that's got to be twice as good!!grin

THIS IS A SMOKE FREE ZONE....peace peace
