Did they mention why they arrived at the name cougar.

As for the age thing. Well it is just another way of saying Don't let your age be an obstacle to what you can enjoy and do.beer

Yes Dragondog they said we r predators,I disagree with that term because I never go after young men.Actually I am from the old school in one respect, and that is I let the men come to me.They said the women on the film and the men were very happy and were talking long term.

One guy was 22 I think and one woman 50.These werent guys that couldnt get goodlooking younger women either, they were very good looking and so were the women. Its kind of a stretch when they say long term though.Depends on how old the woman is as to how long term it would be,and what kind of shape she was in.This actually happened to me last fall.A 28 yr old guy approached me,(not in a bar,and no he wasnt drinking lol.In fact he was working.Thats way to young for me.And I was embarressed lol.I felt like a 15 yr old who didnt know what to say.The show said there is a new trend and I stated this on another thread, that in the last few yrs I had noticed this trend.Everything else in the world is turned upside down.Guess this dating thing is to . doh

I remember that when I was a youth ((centuries ago) we used to have a saying about older women --

something like alwsys safe, always ready, always willing and always gateful as hell.

(he ducks behind a cement wall to protect himself from objects thrown his way)

I said that was when I was a youth

My opinion now is somewhat different --- well sort of different.

I remember a story from years and years ago --a young man and his new wife where in a hotel room and afterwards she sat on the corner of the bed and softly cried a bit.

Fourty years later they went on a second honeymoon ---it was his turn to sit on the corner of the bed and cry.

You missed ---prepares to duck again.

Dunno if I'm a cougar or not. I'm 46 and usually only date men aged between 27-40, could make an exception though for a cute american 51 year old on here smitten

Didn't see this thread yesterday.

Hi CM, I've dated younger men. I don't think five years either way makes a great deal of difference but fifteen or more years can create some interesting communication issues as often the basic vocabulary is very different. It's not that I won't date men in my own age group but they are usually looking for someone younger...
