I just watched a documentary on older women dating younger men. They have actually given us a name COUGAR, Interesting to say the least.Do we have any cougars on this thread besides me???
Yes Dragondog they said we r predators,I disagree with that term because I never go after young men.Actually I am from the old school in one respect, and that is I let the men come to me.They said the women on the film and the men were very happy and were talking long term.
tks BigDave,I guess I must be the only cougar on CS huh?Or the only one who wants to admit it maybe lol.I am what I am and what u see is what u get.tks again
Nothing wrong with that sweetykat I do have a cut off age limit on how young.I get funny reactions from my kids and 2 oldest g-sons.One g-son teases me and one son said,Mom, do u know how old I am.I said yes 48,SOOOOOO?lol My 2 girls just laugh and shake their heads.
One guy was 22 I think and one woman 50.These werent guys that couldnt get goodlooking younger women either, they were very good looking and so were the women. Its kind of a stretch when they say long term though.Depends on how old the woman is as to how long term it would be,and what kind of shape she was in.This actually happened to me last fall.A 28 yr old guy approached me,(not in a bar,and no he wasnt drinking lol.In fact he was working.Thats way to young for me.And I was embarressed lol.I felt like a 15 yr old who didnt know what to say.The show said there is a new trend and I stated this on another thread, that in the last few yrs I had noticed this trend.Everything else in the world is turned upside down.Guess this dating thing is to .
My opinion now is somewhat different --- well sort of different.
I remember a story from years and years ago --a young man and his new wife where in a hotel room and afterwards she sat on the corner of the bed and softly cried a bit.
Fourty years later they went on a second honeymoon ---it was his turn to sit on the corner of the bed and cry.
Dunno if I'm a cougar or not. I'm 46 and usually only date men aged between 27-40, could make an exception though for a cute american 51 year old on here
At what age do you become considered a "Cougar"?? Not sure why that term but its still better than some I have heard..... I am unclear why we have to be called anything?? What is the term for an older man then?
age is immaterial, the feelings and atraction that count, well for me anyway. Do we have to put a label on animal attraction though? younger man older woman, older man younger woman, who cares.......as long as the both of them do that's all that counts.

Didn't see this thread yesterday.
Hi CM, I've dated younger men. I don't think five years either way makes a great deal of difference but fifteen or more years can create some interesting communication issues as often the basic vocabulary is very different. It's not that I won't date men in my own age group but they are usually looking for someone younger...
