Fixing cars
getting and chopping firewood
Hunting and fishing - bringing home the bacon
these things make men feel good, and help to ward off depression and anxiety, in todays modern society a lot of these things have been replaced by sports. do you think this is enough??
And for woman shopping! what do you think this replaces? is it enough? is it fulfilling?

Things women like to do

Earning their own money
Gardenning
Having time to chill, read...
Getting pampered
Shopping for personnal items/clothes (with their own money or someone else's credit card! laugh )
Buying handbags, shoes, make up (see above)
Girls only outings ...

These things make women feel good and help to ward off depression and anxiety, in todays modern society a lot of these things have replaced in part staying at home all day doing housework, cooking and sewing. Do you think this is enough??

As for men doing their fair share of home chores! What do you think this replaces? Is it enough? Is it fulfilling? wink

wink i sometimes wonder roll eyes
don't most woman dream of having children, a strong man and a fantastic house to live in? with nice gardens and flowers...
apart from preganacies i think woman house wifes get it quite easy, sure beats working a 40 hour week... I'd happily swap and stay at home if it meant that i got access to the credit card, car and shopping... i know raising children isn't easy, but working can really sux!.. any solutions to the normal humdrum lifestyles...

Did you ever think of women who do the 40 hr working week, plus raise kids plus do all the housework? Does that seem an easy task? I can assure you ...it aint!!

You appear to have a very low and uninformed impression
of most women, do you live in a cave?

with the risc of getting "grilled": I think it is a problem, that the soceity pays too little respect to the one that keeps the house and home. Actually it is a job, like other jobs, independent of who is doing it. If the couple both are working outside their home, they should either share the work a thome, share the costs of the work or agree that one of them stays home and does it - but with the respect of the other, because it is a real job. Thus, the one that stays home should ofcourse also have acces to the credit card, the car etc...because it was a joint decision that one should take that "job"....conversing

Three men were sitting together bragging about how they had set their new wives straight on their duties. The first man had married a Kiwi girl. He bragged that he had told his wife to do all the dishes and clean the house.
He said that it took her a couple of days, but on the third day he came home to a clean house and the dishes were all washed and put away.

The second man had married an Aussie girl. He bragged that he had given his wife orders that she was to do all the cleaning, dishes, and the cooking. He told the men that the first day he didn't see any results, but by the next
day it was better, and on the third day, his house was clean, the dishes were done, and he had a huge dinner on the table.

The third man had married a girl from London. England. He boasted that he told her his house was to be cleaned, dishes washed, the cooking done and laundry folded. And this was all her responsibility. He said the first day
he didn't see anything and the second day he didn't see anything but by the third day some of the swelling had gone down so he could see a little out of his left eye!

A man was sick and tired of going to work every day while his wife
stayed home. He wanted her to see what he went through so he prayed:
"Dear Lord: I go to work every day and put in 8 hours while my wife merely stays at home.

I want her to know what I go through, so please allow her body to
switch with mine for a day. Amen.

God, in his infinite wisdom, granted the man's wish. The next morning, sure enough, the man awoke as a woman.

He arose, cooked breakfast for his mate, awakened the kids, set out
their school clothes, fed them breakfast, packed their lunches, drove
them to school, came home and picked up the dry cleaning, took it to
the cleaners and stopped at the bank to make a deposit, went grocery
shopping, then drove home to put away the groceries, paid the bills and balanced the checkbook.

He cleaned the cat's litter box and bathed the dog.
Then it was already 1 P.M. and he hurried to make the beds, do the
laundry, vacuum, dust, and sweep and mop the kitchen floor. Ran to
the school to pick up the kids and got into an argument with them on
the way home.

Set out milk and cookies and got the kids organized to do their
homework, then set up the ironing board and watched TV while he did the ironing.

At 4:30 he began peeling potatoes and washing vegetables for salad,
breaded the pork chops and snapped fresh beans for supper.
After supper, he cleaned the kitchen, ran the dishwasher, folded
laundry, bathed the kids, and put them to bed. At 9 P.M. he was
exhausted and, though his daily chores weren't finished, he went to
bed where he was expected to make love, which he managed to get
through without complaint.

The next morning, he awoke and immediately knelt by the bed and said,
Lord, I don't know what I was thinking. I was so wrong to envy my
wife's being able to stay home all day. Please, oh please, let us
trade back."

The Lord, in his infinite wisdom, replied, "My son, I feel you have
learned your lesson and I will be happy to change things back to the way they were.
You'll just have to wait nine months, though. You got pregnant last
night."

That must by a mistake. I am sure it should have said: "these things - AMONG OTHERS - make men feel good, and help to ward off depression and anxiety,"
