Last time I said that I would turn up and I did – albeit I turned up early when I thought I was late. Yes, I’m very impatient.
At least this time I won’t have to stumble down any stairs and trample foul-smelling sand, peering at people sitting round BBQs trying to make out their features in the glow of the fire.
I too have to work the next day so I won’t be staying too long. Just to say “Hello, How do? Goodbye!” which is a lot more than I usually say to people.

Cannot call in dead without 3 days prior notice. It’s a company policy that I vigorously enforce.

Thursday is a good night because when you stagger into work the next day you can say 'TGIF' (thank God it's Friday) - you youngsters can survive a whole day at work even if you feel and look like zombies!
I always used to say TGITTF when I used to work (Thank God It's Thursday Tomorrow's Friday), but then I'd often have to work Saturdays and Sundays so the whole of the next week would just be a bit of a blur....then if you worked both Saturday and Sunday of the following week you'd be a genuine zombie by the end of the third week.
Work - such a pleasant dim and distant memory!

I have the real things - not the silly cloak, I am tall enough to wear ordinary clothes and stand tall. I dont ask for special treatment. I just ask to be there and to see you.
